Tyrus, born February 21, 1973 named George Murdoch, an American retired professional wrestler, a conservative, cable news personality, and actor known by his NWA wrestling stage name, Tyrus.

Murdoch disclosed a childhood incident in which his abusive father damaged his eye by hitting him changed him in a big way; this incident led his mother to leave his father. Murdoch’s father is black and his mother is white; when he was born, his father was 19 years old and his mother was 15. His mother’s family unhappy with their 15 year old daughter birthing Tyrus with an abusive black teenager left Tyrus to fend for himself as a child. While Tyrus ended up back with his mother, because the father did not care for him and the foster system was not doing him any good, Tyrus left home at 15 to start adulting early.
